Andro Giunio
Andro Giunio is a graphic designer, assistant professor at the Department of Media Design at the University of North in Koprivnica, and an artist. In his art practice, he engages in experimental music and sound performance, both independently and in collaborative projects with artists from the fields of new media art, music, and contemporary dance. He is interested in composition and improvisation, electroacoustic manipulation, and research into digital and analog media for reproduction. He participated in the Sinelinea – New Sound Platform (2012, 2013, 2016), and performed the composition for “Slika od zvuka” on the third program of the Croatian Radio, independently (“Kompozicija za neugođenu gitaru”, 2017) and in collaboration with Miodrag Gladović (“Zvuk od Zida”, 2018). He participated in the art residency program of the Miroslav Kraljević Gallery “Open Studio” (2018), performed at the Contemporary Sound Exhibition in the Student Center (2018), and composed music for the performance/exhibition of the collective BADco, titled “Foundation Pit” (2018). He also took part in collaborative projects and performances “Choreography of Utopia, Movement No. 2” and “Utopia of the Extended Here and Now” (2018–2021). Guinio performed at the experimental sound event “Gibanja” at the Zagreb Dance Center (2021) and in Kontejner Association (2025). He was the author and performer of the music for the play “Soma Diva” (by author: Lana Hosni, 2021). He performed music for the expanded cinema audiovisual performance “Aiomena” (co-authorship with Tin Dožić and Hrvoje Spudić, 25 FPS festival, 2023). He also performed the multichannel composition “Three Streams – Sound Psychogeography of Črnomerec” as part of the project “Sound Photo of Črnomerec”, Kvartovski objektiv, Galerija VN (2025).
