Bojan Dmitrović Krištofić
Bojan Dmitrović Krištofić (Zagreb, 1987) is a designer and writer. He earned his master’s degree in Visual Communications Design from the School of Design at the Faculty of Architecture in 2012, and since 2022 he has been enrolled in the Doctoral Program in Art History, Cultural Heritage, and Visual Culture at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, researching artistic events in public spaces of New Zagreb during the postwar period.
He was a longtime member of the editorial board of Zarez, a biweekly magazine for cultural and social issues, and has published art criticism, reviews, and essays in several cultural media outlets in Croatia and the region. He currently writes regularly for the weekly Novosti, and occasionally for the portal Kulturpunkt and the radio program Triptih on Croatian Radio 3 (HR3). He is also engaged in research and curatorial work.
In 2018, he was a fellow of the public foundation Akademie Schloss Solitude in the International Literature group. He received the Postscriptum Award for literature on social media in 2017, and the award-winning manuscript was published as his first poetry collection Makroorganizmi (Macroorganisms, Jesenski & Turk, 2018/’19; Petikat, 2022/’23). His second poetry collection, Krajolik i kralježnica (Landscape and Spine), followed in 2022/’23 (Croatian Writers’ Association Poetry Library).
He currently works for the Serb National Council as one of the cultural editors for the audiovisual channel VIDA TV. He has also self-published two projects: U međuvremenu; u (with Sven Sorić and Hrvoje Spudić, 2017 and 2022) and The Bicycle Chronicles (translated by Vinko Zgaga, 2018).
From 2013 to 2015, he regularly collaborated with the Croatian Designers Association, first as an assistant to Marko Golub, head of the HDD Gallery, and later as a member of the organizational team of Dan D, an international design festival. From 2015 to 2017, he worked at Superstudio Design Projects, where he co-organized the Design District Zagreb festival, for which the team received the Grand Award of the Croatian Designers Association in 2016.
He is also recognized as a book cover designer (Gypsy, but the Most Beautiful by Kristian Novak; Satan’s Tango by László Krasznahorkai; Dear Zealots by Amos Oz, among others). He co-edited Radio Borba, a program by the Network of Women Antifascists of Zagreb on Radio Student, and co-edited the portal www.maz.hr.
From 2019 to 2023, he was a regular collaborator of the Ateliers Žitnjak Art Organization as manager of the AŽ Gallery.
He is a member of the Croatian Freelance Artists’ Association, the Croatian Designers Association, the Croatian Writers’ Association, the Croatian Section of the International Association of Art Critics (HS AICA), and the Network of Women Antifascists of Zagreb.
